Skyline Makes Its Presence Known In The 2008 Playoffs

In 2008 the Skyline Lacrosse Club figured out how to spread success across all of the teams. 5 out of 8 Skyline teams advanced to the 2008 NCJLA playoffs.

The PeeWee Highlanders advanced into the second round of the playoffs. Both Pups teams advanced into the playoffs, with the B2 team taking 3rd overall in the NCJLA. Both Junior Boys teams advanced into the playoffs, with the B1 Red team taking 1st place overall in the NCJLA and brought the championship title home after 4 long years of rebuilding.

Congratulations to all of the teams on so much earned success, we can't wait until Spring 2009!

Junior Boys Red bring home the NCJLA Championship Title

Congratulations to Coach Dede Szykier and the Junior Red team on their amazing undefeated 17-0 season. On June 1st 2008, they had the fight of their season in the morning against the South Bay Crusaders, coming from behind they won their semi final game 7-6 to advance to the championship game against Stuart Hall.

At 1:30pm they took the field ready to go to work and bring the title home. They cruised through the game as the team they had been all season. The final score was 10-6. Good luck to all of the players on the Junior Boys Red team next year at their respective schools. We will be sending players on to play for Piedmont, Berkeley, Bishop O'Dowd, Saint Ignatius, Georgetown Prep, and Skyline's revival of the high school club team. Stayed tune for more information on our high school team.

Always get in the habit of checking the hotline for late breaking information about a weekend game or the practice schedule when the weather's acting up. Please note that this is not a voicemail box, any questions should be directed to your coach or team coordinator.

The season is underway, make sure you get your players to practice on time and pick them up when the coach has specified. Until daylight savings occurs, practices may end earlier than scheduled. Check with your parent coordinator or coach to confirm practice end times.
